Abstract
Tsarskoe Selo Lyceum’s 200th anniversary and Russian “new wave” lyceums’ 20th anniversaries are bases to analyze objects and values of lyceum education. The article determines typical features of a lyceum, as well as it’s characteristic as a phenomenon of culture. Analyzed are actual problems in lyceum education, continuity in “lyceum—university” system, as well as role of a lyceum which it might play in Bologna Process.
