Terms of Use

Version dated 6 September 2026.

These Terms describe use of the Alma Mater (Vestnik Vysshey Shkoly) journal website: reading, accounts, paid access and manuscript workflows.

1. Website operator

The main address is www.almavest.ru; during the move, these Terms also cover the working version at new.almavest.ru. Manuscript publication is governed separately by editorial rules and the author agreement.

2. Accounts and sign-in

Public pages and open content can be read without registration. Purchases and editorial actions may require an account. Email/password, Google, ORCID and VK ID sign-in are available.

Provide accurate information, do not impersonate others, and keep passwords and codes confidential. The journal does not request external-service passwords. Do not share an account to circumvent paid access. Report suspected unauthorised access to the Operator.

3. Use of content

Articles, images and other content belong to their respective rights holders. You may read content, save lawfully provided files and use works within the law and applicable licence, including permitted quotation with attribution and a source reference.

An open PDF does not itself imply a Creative Commons licence or absence of copyright. The website does not technically prohibit copying a lawfully obtained file, but other uses requiring permission from a rights holder are allowed only where that permission exists.

4. Purchasing access

The price of the selected article is shown in Russian roubles before payment. A purchase provides access to that article in your account without a time limit, not a subscription to the whole journal. A lawfully downloaded PDF remains with you.

YooKassa processes the payment. Access is provided after the payment service confirms success; a browser return from the payment page alone does not confirm payment.

If money was charged but access is missing, or payment was duplicated, email almavest@yandex.ru with your account, article, date, amount and payment reference if known. Do not send full card numbers, CVC/CVV or bank verification codes.

The Operator investigates and, where justified, restores access or arranges a refund under the law and order terms. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule or restrict mandatory consumer rights.

5. Manuscripts

Submitting authors must be entitled to provide the material and co-author information. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, a favourable review or publication in a particular issue. Decisions follow editorial rules; the author agreement is concluded separately.

These Terms do not transfer unlimited manuscript rights to the Operator or replace necessary consents for processing or disseminating personal data. Non-public materials and correspondence support editorial work.

6. Security and availability

Unauthorised access to accounts or restricted content, payment circumvention, malicious code, violations of others' rights and deliberate overloading of the website are prohibited. Bulk retrieval and integrations should be agreed with the Operator; this does not prohibit ordinary reading and available download functions.

Requests or accounts may be restricted proportionately to address threats, violations or legal requirements. Users may request an explanation and review. Paid-order obligations do not automatically disappear as a result.

Maintenance and failures may occur, including at external services. The Operator takes reasonable steps to restore operation; this does not waive statutory liability.

7. Privacy and messages

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. These Terms are not consent to advertising, unlimited data disclosure or publication of private contact details.

The website sends only service messages about registration, recovery, purchases and manuscripts. It does not send journal newsletters, announcements or subscription offers.

8. Changes and enquiries

Revised Terms are published with a date; material changes are communicated appropriately. New terms do not retrospectively worsen paid orders. Publishing this text does not mean existing users have automatically accepted new obligations; where separate acceptance is required, it is obtained separately.

Send enquiries to the Operator's email or postal address. Handling an enquiry does not restrict access to competent authorities or courts. Russian law applies, preserving mandatory user rights. The Russian and English texts serve the same purpose; discrepancies are clarified without restricting those rights.
