Abstract
The article presents the idea that the welfare of the emerging global knowledge society is largely dependent on how the c-knowledge persons and higher education system will perform its humanitarian and socio-cultural mission. The author examines tasks of axiological and ethical self-regulation arising from the mission. The tasks must be executed the basic decision-makers in higher education.
