Abstract
The article presents the results of a study examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping strategies among employees of private educational organizations. A high level of emotional intelligence is an important factor in effective professional performance in education. Employees of educational organizations are exposed to high levels of occupational stress and emotional burnout, which can adversely affect both individual performance and organizational functioning. The empirical study used instruments designed to assess overall emotional intelligence, its components, and coping strategies. Statistical analysis using Pearson’s correlation coefficient revealed significant positive relationships between emotional intelligence, its components, and productive coping strategies. The findings indicate that employees with higher levels of emotional intelligence are more likely to use problem-solving and social-support strategies, whereas lower levels of emotional intelligence are more often associated with avoidance-oriented coping.
