Abstract
Since 1949, cultural cooperation between the USSR – Russia and socialist China has fostered mutual enrichment in various fields in each country. Within a historical context, this work systematizes the bilateral influence of the two countries in areas such as institutional development, scientific and technological progress, literary creation, music, and painting, among others. On a philosophical level, the author explores the foundations of this interaction and elucidates the internal processes of mutual enrichment and interpenetration between the two civilizations. The study shows that two value paradigms — collectivism and individualism — play a special role in interpersonal relationships. Thus, collectivism served not only as a unifying value for cultural integration between China and the USSR (Russia), but also as a key distinguishing feature in contrast to Western individualism. At the same time, these two value paradigms are complementary. On the one hand, collectivism can form the foundation of a community, preventing the social division caused by extreme individualism. On the other hand, individualism helps introduce an element of personal initiative into collectivism, preventing it from becoming a stagnant system that stifles innovation. The ultimate goal of mutual cultural enrichment lies in the formation of shared human values, such as peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom. It is precisely these values that form the core of building a community with a shared future for humanity, based on respect for differences.
