Abstract
The article focuses to the problem of engineering education as the weightiest element in innovation development of our country. Principal features of Russian engineering training are cleared up, as well as aspects of engineers’ schooling by two-level education system examined. Also analyzed problems necessary to maintain high level of Russian engineering training, i.e. raising capacity of taking school-leaving exams pupils and engineer’s social image, establishing of inter-IHE centers with it’s equipment joint use, well provided financing for training of engineers, recruiting of talented final-year students of technical high school in science and so on, are defined.
