Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the main factors of the specifics of the professional and communicative training of public catering workers, as well as to identify the features that update and optimize the process of their training. As a result, it has been proved that the main factors of the specifics of professional and communicative training of catering workers are the integration of competency-based and communicative-activity approaches, taking into account thematic linguistic and cultural features, and digital technologies update and optimize the learning process thanks to new gamification opportunities.
