Abstract

This article discusses the problems that arose in our country’s universities between the birth of the Soviet education system and the formation of Russia’s modern education system. It provides a brief overview of the development of this system and the emergence of innovative approaches within it. It notes that at some stage, a negative trend emerged in the system, which became a problem hindering its further development. An assumption is made regarding the cause of this trend. A definition of the concept of control of the education system is proposed. An opinion is expressed regarding the stage at which the aforementioned problem arises in the process of a specific person’s education. The difficulties that arise in the process of education due to the existence of the aforementioned problem are described. Methods that can alleviate the consequences of encountering these difficulties are described. Examples of the application of these methods are given.
