Abstract
Determined is the role of foreign language in the process of forming of academic competence of students in economic profile. Shown is that in the object-lesson aspect of educational content in the discipline of “Foreign language” reflected are both linguistics and economics as spheres of scientific knowledge, and in the process aspect attention is accentuated at reading as one of types of both speech activity, and scientific communication. Also presented are results of questionnaire at students’ scientific conference as one of forms of organizational measures of curricular research activities connected with educational process.
