Abstract
Analyzed is the concept of humanitas both in it’s general social historic aspect and from pedagogic position. The author concludes, that humanitas is a specific feature of Western pedagogic culture and educational tradition, beginning in classical (antique) period and apogeeing in the epoch of Renaissance.
