Abstract

Presented is the author’s thoughts about expediency of use of such terms, as “linearity” and “non-linearity” with respect to pedagogical field. The general meaning of these terms in mathematics and physics is determined with respect to such expressions, as linear and non-linear systems, effects, mediums. Significance of the unity of linearity and non-linearity, stability and instability, immunity and changeability in terms of such philosophical categories as development and evolution is determined. Conclusion about general scientific character of terms “linearity” and “non-linearity” is made. A priori non-linearity of educational process, as a unique process of creation by a person an own image of the world and his place in it is justified. Adequacy and expediency of the use of the term “non-linearity” in a modern didactics is proved. This term allows designating essential differences of main characteristics of modern educational process in university in the context of information educational environment.
