Abstract
The article examines the problem of searching for design solutions among master’s students in Applied Informatics. The author analyzes the potential of morphological analysis (Zwicky’s method) as a didactic tool for transforming spontaneous creative search into a structured process of information systems design. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to equip future IT specialists with a methodological framework for working under conditions of high uncertainty and a wide range of information systems development tools. The scientific novelty of the study lies in adapting morphological analysis to the training of master’s students in Applied Informatics. The article describes a method for using morphological matrices in the synthesis of complex systems, presents an example of a completed ‘morphological box’ developed by master’s students in the course “Decision Support Methods and Models,” and summarizes the author’s experience of applying this approach in teaching. Possible implementation difficulties are identified, and recommendations for preventing them are provided. The author emphasizes the heuristic potential and practical value of the morphological box method. Morphological analysis is shown to be an effective tool for systematizing and making the creative process more explicit in the education of master’s students in information technology programs, while also producing a useful educational effect. The article is intended for higher education teachers and specialists in information systems design.
