Abstract
The article deals with the problem of forming in students visual imagination and imaginary thinking, i.e. vital cognitive characteristics needed in mathematics study process. Outlined are instrumental and philosophic aspects of mathematics, that ought to find worthy place in educational process and it’s methodology.
