Abstract
The author attempts to make out conception, approaches, definitions, models, principal tendencies and peculiarities of historical socialization process in post-Soviet period. Analyzed is the problem of actuality of historical knowledges as well as historical socialization in modern Russia. Special attention is drawn to the role and place of historical component of HPE in professional, mental, social and civic virtues of a specialist.
