The experience of the “Czech”. First World festival of youth and students in Prague (July 20 up to August 17, 1947)

Researched is the theme of historical heritage of first World festival of youth and students in Prague in the year of 1947. Based on archival materials, for the first time introduced into scientific circulation, the author considers technology of organization of first World festival of youth and students, paying attention to such aspects, as financing of festival, it’s promotion with involving leaders of public opinion in different countries, formation of the program, etc. Also presented is analysis of composition participants of festival with characteristics of their socio-political positions. Summering up the principal result, the author makes the conclusion about actuality of experience of first World festival of youth and students, as to organization of contemporary international youth events.
