Specificity of students' independent work in implementation of competence-based approach

Features, characteristic for independent work of students of institutes of higher in the conditions of realization of educational process in logic of competence approach, are examined in the article. Research results are analysed on the exposure of difficulties into which students run at implementation of independent work.
