Current state of home education in Russia

Abstract

Presented is description of current state of home schooling in the Russian Federation. In detail analyzed are adopted through last 20 years legislative acts and normative legal documents, regulating the sphere of home education, and also described are changes, took place in connection with that in the named sphere. Presented is analysis of official data, characterizing the process of development of home schooling both in the country as a whole and it’s regions in particular. Examined are problems, faced by families, whose children are homeschooled. Also characterized are problems, arising in activity of educational authorities and schools by implementation of this form of education. Besides, presented is the author’s vision of prospects for further development of home schooling in Russia.
