Abstract
Example of the USSR in utilization of science and education as key factors in scientific- and technological development is analyzed in the article. Shown is what exactly components of Soviet higher education guaranteed progress of innovation technologies in military and cosmic spheres. Soviet experience is also analyzed in context of modern strategy, developed by Irish academy of engineering and presented in the Report of the year of 2010 “Engineering investigation in economic development of Ireland”.
