Abstract
Studied is the most acute problems of modern youth and the search for ways of their solving under conditions of transition to informational society. Described is changing needs of the youth, their demands as to quality of life. But not all regions of the country can provide modern youth with good quality of life and comfortable infrastructure. In that situation acutely necessary is to develop strategy aimed at solving social and economic problems of young people. The author proposes to begin the search of such strategy with analysis of data of sociological surveys for identifying the most pressing problems, and then with subsequent grouping of then into large blocks, based on which directly go to principal part of the strategy, i.e. developing ways of solving identified socio-economic problems of the youth.
