Abstract
The article describes the value of the project activity in the contemporary higher education system in Russia and its role in the promotion of innovative technologies and advanced methods of teaching and learning. The introduction of up-to-date and well-established European concepts in the MICE tourism education sphere is examined by the example of the Tempus project.
