Features of entrance and training at medical college in the USA: view from inside of the system

Abstract

Clarified are features of admission and training in the US higher medical school. The study is based on in-depth interviews with the 2nd year student of the University of South Florida medical college, followed by analysis of information, available on the university’s website. Details of procedures for applying and for training and interviews with applicants, features of theoretical and practical training in the college, professional ethics and communication between students and teachers, procedures for choosing medical specialty for training in residency are also revealed in detail.
