Abstract
Raised is the problem, formulated by the author as following: in the era of globalization under conditions of increasing cultural diversity of the world grow importance of internationalization, intercultural education in development of human personality and upbringing of global citizen. The article analyzes programs of international organizations, contributing to internationalization of education, breeding of people, who think and act for more just, peaceful and sustainable global civilization. As to the role and place of education, it is noted, that internationalization orients academic staff and students of higher school onto world-class quality and high professional level. Attention is accentuated on the fact, that internationalization in it’s mindless variant might be harmful to universities.
