Abstract
Presented is analytical study on situation in Russian higher education and science. Shown is identity between development of science and democracy, and also analyzed is tragic gap between them in contemporary Russia. Researched is influence on that gap a number of statements of creative activity of A.I. Solzhenitsyn. The author’s conclusion is made as to possible after-effects of examining process for fortune of higher education and science.
