Russian education and science under WTO. Survey of publications on the problem

Abstract

Problems surrounding Russia’s accession to the WTO, including those related to education, science, and technology, were debated for many years. Numerous scholarly works were published both in support of and in opposition to the idea. What will ultimately outweigh the other: the positive or negative consequences of Russia’s accession to the WTO? This review of publications attempts to take both sides of the debate into account in order to present an objective picture of the development of higher education under the new conditions.
