On the Problems of Engineering Education in the Context of Digitalization and the Use of Artificial Intelligence: World Experience

Abstract

The paper outlines the main forecasts for the development of the education system with active digitalization in technical universities related to the emergence of innovative technologies in various fields of science. It is postulated that the education system directly depends on changes in society. The student’s knowledge, practical skills and personal experience will come to the fore, and interest in additional education and self-study will increase, which is quite accessible online. It is assumed that the development of new methods and technologies of distance learning using artificial intelligence should be expected in the near future. The paper examines current learning issues related to the digitalization of engineering education, as well as the need for students to adapt to the rapid renewal of the profession due to the emergence of new information technologies.
