Abstract
The article refers to the first orthodox theology doctors who gained this title in 1814—1869. The author systematizes the cases of doctor award, analyses the problems, that Russian schools of theology met in the process of scientific attestation and makes a conclusion, that centralization of theological attestation on practice became even more advanced as it was planed in the Decree of 1814.
