Analysis of development of physical training as an educational discipline in a higher institution has allowed us clearly recognize four models of teaching physical training, i.e. health-saving, social-directed, individually differentiated and health-developing . Variety of these models contributes to the development of forms, methods and means of physical education that allows to solve the points of being healthy, increasing the level of students’ preparation for creative future work activity.
