Abstract

Discussed are methodological and philosophical aspects of quality assessment of professional foreign language education. The article describes some problems of modern education in the conditions of globalization, which necessitates to consider the education system, as an open self-developing social system. The article puts the problem of what constitutes the quality today and describes what is the current understanding of the quality of professional foreign language education, how to understand the role of foreign language of professional identity in terms of the quality of professional foreign language education. Priority should be given to upbringing objectives because of insufficient attention to the formation of the Russian identity and patriotism, because of increasing mobility in the framework of the implementation of the Bologna process which leads to an outflow of young professionals abroad that can make a detriment to the economy and the future of the country. The authors proposed a definition of conscious professional foreign language identity.
