Abstract
A movement in Russian pedagogy from the second half of the nineteenth to the first half of the twentieth century is examined, reflecting a unified conception of the individual and collective search for providential meanings in education. Particular attention is given to the goals, objectives, principles, means, and content of providentially oriented education.
