Abstract

The article considers an actual problem concerning the formation of mathematical competence of the student as the important component of professional training of the modern specialist. It is proved that professional–and–mathematical competence possessing integrative characteristics is being formed on the base of intra–subject, cross–curriculum, cross–scientific links and is being shown on the level of generalized ability to do mathematical modeling of the real processes and phenomena.
