Abstract
Examined are features of forming and developing of entrepreneurial universities in the USA and Europe. Revealed are main reasons for transition to universities of the entrepreneurial type. Analyzed is possibility of introducing entrepreneurial culture in educational practice of higher school. Defined is the role of human capital for forming innovative and entrepreneurial university. Also designated are prerequisites of forming innovative and entrepreneurial universities under conditions of modernization of Kazakhstan economy. It is noted, that modern innovative and entrepreneurial universities are most competitive form of organization of educational, scientific and business activities and the engine of economy modernization.
