Abstract

In the article the theoretical and epistemological mechanisms of historical knowledge formation are analyzed. This analysis is based upon the interpretation of its origin and development acknowledged in the modern philosophy of science. It is also demonstrated that the source of scientific forms of historical knowledge comes from specific memorial practice, which prompts the creation of social and cultural memory.
