Abstract

The article considers possibilities of perfecting the mark-rating system (MRS ) of estimation the knowledge of university students. The author considers that it is expedient to use only progress quantity indicators. The teacher shouldn’t estimate either the quality of the papers prepared by the students, or his (or her) personal qualities. This updating of MRS excludes the application penalties and punishment, and the account quantity of the earned points is concluded by the students themselves. This approach allows to overcome the shortcomings of the MRS, facilitates the adaptation of the students and teachers to the new system of estimation.
