Abstract
Process of development of modern Russian orthodox tradition in monumental painting’s canon, illustrated by Moscow’s churches as an example, is examined by the author. Presented is description of composite designs, as well as of iconography programs of temple painting. Combination of innovative theory and canon traditions of church monumental painting is displayed.
