Abstract
Analyzed are theoretical foundations of distance learning, laid in foundation of modern educational system. Special attention is paid to educational technologies and means of e-learning. The problem of finding a new scenario of formation of educational process, in which distance learning form of education opens possibility to simplify the process of organizing individual and group sessions with target audience is being solved. In details, discussed is specifics of distance learning, it’s capabilities, pros and cons, affecting educational process as a whole.
