Monitoring and Analysis of Household Budget in Azerbaijan

In the Republic of Azerbaijan, households taken as observation units represent approximately one family. One of the important economic indicators used in studying the living standards of households and the population is the income and expenses of the population. The study of per capita income in households plays an important role in terms of analyzing the state of well-being of the population in urban and rural areas and assessing social inequality. In the “State Program on the Development of Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018–2025”, the analysis of households was mentioned as the main goal. If the distribution of income is fair, the social welfare in the country will increase, the poverty level will decrease and there will be optimistic expectations about the future.

The main purpose of the research is to analyze the total average monthly income and expenses per person of households in Azerbaijan, urban and rural areas, education level of the head of the household, and expenses according to other factors, conducting analysis based on statistical indicators.

The object of the study is household income and expenses.
